It's ALL things #Starwars right now. Here at Snooky's we will be busy making #ATATWALKER cakes, #Stormtroppers on cakes, and everything else that's in the new movie. I CAN"T WAIT TO SEE IT!!! I just need to get tickets now and avoid EVERYONE who's seeing it on open day, that means that I have to stay cocooned in my house.

At At Walker!!!

We made a simplified #AtAtWalker for a customer's son's birthday, she initially wanted a 3D cake like the one we made a little over a year ago but we need two weeks to pull that one off. Made with yellow cake and frosted in vanilla buttercream which was then covered in fondant of which we painted in a silver color. I suppose with the next #Starwars film release we will be doing a lot of Star Wars cakes, but please, if ordering one of the robots, space ships, and other militia vehicles please order it a month in advance we need the time.

It took three days to complete this ATAT Walker 3D cake and boy was it a monster! I was pulling my hair out, my assistant was pulling her hair out and then we pulled each other's hair out. The details of the guns at the head (that's what I'm calling it) were really tedious but we got them done. Stabilizing this cake was also a daunting task, it took real power tools to make it happen. And the delivery? I could cry thinking about it, someone had to hold it while staying in a crazy position in the back of a van while I drove less than 50 miles per hour. Oh and did I mention we had to deliver it from Manhattan to Suffolk Long Island. I cried then but I can laugh now. Lol!
