The above cake was for only five people. The cake was to be small and incorporate a beach scene with a subject reclining in a bikini with a glass of cognac in one hand and there was to be a book and a pair of heels on the cake as well as. Of course we put her on a beach towel and proped her legs up in a bent position, like when you're really lying on the beach enjoying the day. Drift fencing was placed around the cake which also acted as a boarder and then the ocean was simulated with buttercream in the front. The cake was cut on a bias and the surface was purposely left uneven to mimick sand. What to you think of this interpretation?

Sometimes You Have To Go Above And Beyond Even If the Number Don't Make sense!

On a normal day at work the phone rang, it was a customer wanting to create a cake for his mom who was arriving from #China, his homeland, to visit him on her birthday, his funds were limited but he wanted a cake that spoke to the characteristics of her. "This is the #YearofthePig in #Chineseastrology which is the year she was born in also she loves photography can you incorporate the two in a cake?" "Sure" I replied and explained that we could put the pig on a round cake and have a small camera besides him or around his neck, the caller loved the idea and ordered the cake and paid for it. But while executing the cake another thought came to mind, why not make a simplified 3D camera that was a silhouette as the cake and put a small pig figure on top as is shown above. So, without conferring with my client this is the way we constructed it, the camera was made all in black and had minimal details, just enough to read camera. When the cake was picked up by the client there was nothing but smiles and and many #thankyous for a job well done. And that's how you go #aboveandbeyond!

Summer Summer Summertime!

This Black Eyed Susie cake really embodies #Summer, all of the colors make you think of summer don't you think? I think of ice cream  my favorite food, chocolate, vanilla loaded with egg yolks, and cotton candy which I've seen but yet tasted at #AmpleHill. Yes, it's the lazy hazy days of summer depicted in fondant on a two tiered cake with a #Blackeyedsusie graphic design.

Drake's Birthday Cake

Drake like most boys his age loves trucks especially construction trucks so we made a cake special for him which had a #dumptruck, a #crawlerexcuvator, and a #bulldozer. Drake was turning three so we put a three on his cake and of course his name and then added crushed cookies for dirt and made rocks out of fondant.

Disney's Ariel Gets a Pelvic Exam!

Graduation is defined as:  the action of receiving or conferring an academic degree or the ceremony that is sometimes associated, where students become graduates. As explained in Wikipedia. Graduation is also the time when we, Snooky's, get a lot of requests for cakes for graduation celebrations as one is seen above in the pictures. The graduate that received this cake was starting her residency in #MorristownNJ as a #gynecologist, she also loved #Disney'sAriel so we put Ariel in stirrups to prep her for an exam and we let her keep her graduation cap on. Entirely edible made fondant and buttercream.

Here's to the Graduate Class of 2015!

That is of #NYUFilmSchool at #Tisch school of the arts. We made this cake as a request of a parent who's son was graduating from NYU's film school, she wanted stack film reels with a #graduation cap along with the director's cut which read Congratulations Adi! Done within two days which is not a lot of time for us and really put us under the gun, normally we would have declined but the mother was from Singapore staying at the W and asked if we could please help her out of her poor planning situation. Snooky's to the rescue! Sometimes you have to bit down and be a cape crusader. Lol! Made out of chocolate cake cake with vanilla buttercream and covered in fondant.
